Variable fee recharges costs of OSU Choirs performance activities at regional, national and international venues; costs of multi-day retreats for training and rehearsals; costs of performance apparel. Fee Range: $10 to $1,000 Fees vary widely from year to year depending on the nature of the performance activities. In some years, ensembles may perform at state or regional conference venues, while in other years, they participate in international conferences, festivals, and performance tours. All tours generally include multiple concerts as well as visits to schools and other cultural institutions. The tours often include a recruiting purpose for the School of Arts and Communication. These fees make artistic experiences available to the student beyond the narrow expectations of an academic class, providing the student significant interaction with international artists, professional conferences, and cultural experiences. Retreats provide additional rehearsal and team building experiences.
